State by State Guide to Marijuana Delivery Services

Apr 21st 2021

With more people staying in than ever before, cannabis delivery has really taken off. It’s likely that you can find delivery services all over your area and the types of strains you may be seeking. If you live in a state where recreational marijuana is legal or where medical cannabis is legal it’s likely that you can get cannabis products delivered right to your door. Rather than having to travel to a brick-and-mortar dispensary, you’ll be able to place the delivery online or over the phone and then have it to you within a few hours.

Here is the current list of states offering Marijuana Delivery Services:

Alaska:

Alaska may not have any official marijuana delivery licenses yet but there are some delivery services operating within a gray area throughout the state. Delivery services offer gifts for marijuana exchange between $40-$50 and a delivery fee of $10.

Arizona:

Medical marijuana delivery has been legal since 2010 here. Delivery services operated through an Arizona State dispensary will be able to operate but a person needs to have a medical marijuana card to legally order weed online.

California:

Medical marijuana has been legal in California for a while and quite recently marijuana delivery services have taken off. You need to register as a member of the company that you’re getting delivery from and be at least 21 years of age.

Colorado:

Marijuana is recreationally legal in Colorado and there has been a recent approval of a marijuana delivery service bill. Home delivered medical marijuana operations got started in 2020 and under the current law, Colorado license dispensary providers can only offer pickup of products at a retail shop.

Maine:

Medical marijuana has been legal in the state of Maine since 1999 and marijuana cardholders, as well as recreational users, can use different delivery services instead of visiting a physical dispensary.

Maryland:

Maryland got their program up and running in the year 2020 and has been serving medical marijuana to customers through home deliveries since then. Wellness solutions have offered free marijuana deliveries on minimum purchases of $125 in certain areas.

Nevada:

Nevada is home to recreation and medical marijuana programs. Delivery services have boomed since last July but to use these services you need to be at least 21 years of age and have a residential address.

New Mexico:

In New Mexico, marijuana delivery services and careers exist with registered medical consumers and caregivers able to order through the service as well as registered recreational users too.

New York:

Medical marijuana is legal in New York and there are also medical marijuana delivery services offered through medical consumers and caregivers. Columbia care now offers marijuana delivery services throughout New York for nonmedical clients if they’re ordering from a qualifying dispensary.

Oregon:

Oregon offered a marijuana home delivery program in 2017 that permits customers in 21 years of age to receive delivery between 8 AM and 9 PM.

Rhode Island:

Several Rhode Island dispensaries offer delivery services to accommodate customers.

Vermont:

Vermont offers legal medical marijuana delivery services but a person must register with the state and a designated dispensary in order to receive the delivery to the home.

Washington:

Medical and recreational marijuana is legal throughout Washington but state budget writers have not implemented a marijuana delivery program. Unofficial marijuana delivery services operate throughout the greater Seattle area in a grey area.
